Conditions of participation for events

(Valid from 01.01.2025)

By registering, you accept the following conditions of participation:

Registration
Registrations must be made in writing and must be submitted via the web form for the respective event at www.geniu.com/de/veranstaltungen/.
Registration becomes binding upon receipt by Geniu.

Participation fee
The participation fee for face-to-face events includes the event documents and a certificate of participation as well as lunch and drinks during breaks.

Event documents
Unless otherwise stipulated in the individual announcement of the event, the participant will receive the event documents as a printout on site or as PDF documents by e-mail prior to the event.

Program content
Geniu reserves the right to replace speakers and to make minor changes to the program or content, provided that the overall character of the event is preserved.

Participant license
With the documents (as a download/on a USB stick or, if applicable, in printed form), the participant receives the right for his/her own use only (participant license). He/she is expressly not entitled to store this document e.g. as a (scanned) PDF file on a company or web server, to forward it by e-mail or to reproduce it in any other way or to make it accessible to third parties. No part of the content in unchanged or modified form may be copied, quoted, reproduced, translated, reprinted or passed on or sold to third parties by the participant.

Cancellation by participant
Cancellations up to 14 days before the start of the event will be charged a fee of 50%. The full participation fee will be charged for later cancelations. Cancellations must be sent by e-mail to the organizer or info@geniu.com to send. The time of receipt of the e-mail by Geniu shall be decisive.
If a registered participant is unable to attend, a substitute participant can be nominated.

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation by the organizer, participation fees will be refunded in full. Further claims are excluded.

For face-to-face events: Approximately six weeks before the event date, it will be decided whether the minimum number of participants has been reached and the event can take place. Therefore, you should pay attention to the cancellation conditions, e.g. of the train or the hotel.

Terms of payment
The participation fee is payable immediately upon receipt of the invoice without deduction. The invoice will be issued 10 days before the start of the event.

Liability
Geniu shall only be liable for damages caused by intent or gross negligence. Geniu shall only be liable for slight negligence in the event of a breach of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations) and only for typically foreseeable damage. Liability for injury to life, limb and health remains unaffected.

Image and sound recordings
Audio and video recordings may be made during the event,
which are used for the purposes of Geniu’s documentation and public relations work. No individual photos of participants will be taken.

Place of jurisdiction
German law shall apply. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Geniu, provided that the participant is a merchant or a legal entity under public law.
