Dr. Wolf-Christian Gerstner is the founder and managing director of Geniu, specializing in training and consulting for laboratories. He has successfully implemented over 100 laboratory optimization projects in Europe, the USA and Asia – in areas such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemistry, medicine, food, environmental analysis as well as in research, contract and quality control laboratories. Dr. Gerstner is considered one of the leading experts for lean management in laboratories in Europe. He was one of the first to successfully introduce lean principles into laboratory environments. His areas of expertise include laboratory planning, layout optimization, automation, AI, KPIs and organizational structures. He also developed Geniu’s laboratory benchmarking with over 200 key performance indicators.
