SUMMARY:AI in the lab - Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Artificial intelligence (AI) opens up completely new possibilities for laboratories – from intelligent data evaluation and automated process control to assistance systems that relieve employees. But which applications can already be used in laboratories today\, where are the limits and what is the best way to get started? This webinar offers a practical overview of AI in the laboratory – including application examples. You will also receive an overview of Geniu’s consulting services relating to AI and digitalization in the laboratory\, which will help you to systematically identify and implement potential. \nAim of the webinar\nThe aim of the webinar is to give you a practical overview of the current state of artificial intelligence in the laboratory. You will learn where AI technologies are already being used today\, what application examples from laboratories there are and what potentials and limitations need to be considered. You will also gain an insight into current developments in AI assistants for laboratories and procedures for the successful introduction of such technologies. \nTarget group\nThe webinar is aimed at managers and employees from laboratories as well as those responsible for digitalization and quality who want to understand how AI and digitalization are changing laboratory work – and what opportunities this presents for efficiency\, data quality and decision-making processes. \nSpeaker\nDr. Wolf-Christian Gerstner is the founder and managing director of Geniu\, which specializes in training and consulting for laboratories. In addition to his studies and doctorate in business administration\, he also studied computer science and worked for an ERP system provider. He has experience from numerous projects in the field of digitalization and automation in laboratories.

SUMMARY:25 years of Lean Lab
DESCRIPTION:Lean management has been shaping the laboratory world for a quarter of a century. What began as a bold attempt in 2001 to fundamentally improve laboratory workflows using lean management techniques has long since proven to be the most effective way to optimize laboratories. \nThe year 2026 marks a milestone in the application of lean management in laboratories. Now that lean has been applied in thousands of laboratory projects worldwide\, it is time – 25 years later – to look back at what lean has achieved in the laboratory and to look ahead to the potential offered by new technologies such as AI and robotics. \nAim of the event\nParticipants will gain an insight into the development and benefits of lean management in the laboratory – from its beginnings to the present day. Pioneers who have decisively shaped and further developed lean in the laboratory will be presented\, as well as the most important findings from which valuable impulses can be derived for your own application of lean in the laboratory. In addition\, the event will show how lean methods can have an even greater impact through the use of new technologies such as AI and automation – and what opportunities this opens up for laboratories of the future. \nTarget group\nThe event is aimed at managers and those responsible for lean and operational excellence in routine and quality control laboratories as well as research and development laboratories. It is aimed at anyone who wants to further develop their laboratory in terms of productivity\, costs\, quality\, reliability\, throughput time and adherence to deadlines – using analog or digital techniques and technologies. Press representatives with a focus on laboratory and/or lean management are also invited. \nSpeaker\nFurther details on the event will follow

SUMMARY:Laboratory planning - Webinar
DESCRIPTION:For many\, the construction or conversion of a laboratory is a once-in-a-lifetime project. Not a routine project\, but a rare opportunity – and a great responsibility at the same time. This makes an effective approach all the more important: Efficiency increases of up to 25% can be achieved through process-optimized laboratory planning – potential that is usually no longer economically feasible after commissioning. At the same time\, well-coordinated planning increases employee satisfaction and acceptance – a success factor that is often underestimated. \nAim of the webinar\nThe webinar will show you how to use lean management techniques to develop a laboratory layout that is optimally tailored to your processes – from macro design (several laboratory rooms) to micro design of individual workstations. You will learn about the typical challenges that arise in laboratory planning – and how you can overcome them in a targeted manner. You will also gain an overview of how to analyze processes and work paths and transfer them into an efficient room concept. Finally\, you will gain an insight into Geniu’s consulting services\, including the “layout check” to review laboratory floor plans and the development of customized laboratory space concepts. \nTarget group\nThe webinar is aimed at managers and employees in laboratories who are responsible for planning conversions or new builds. It shows a tried-and-tested procedure for developing an optimized layout quickly and independently of laboratory furniture manufacturers. \nSpeaker\nDr. Wolf-Christian Gerstner is the founder and managing director of Geniu\, specializing in training and consulting for laboratories. He has successfully implemented over 50 laboratory layout projects in Europe\, the USA and Asia – in areas such as pharmaceuticals\, biotechnology\, chemistry\, medicine\, food analysis and the environment. Dr. Gerstner is considered one of the leading experts for process-optimized laboratory layouts in Europe. He developed the proprietary Geniu method for analysing test and activity portfolios as the basis for efficient layouts.\nHis experience also includes automation\, robotics\, employee satisfaction and organizational structures\, which are closely linked to laboratory layouts.
